    Surface Wifi Adapter Not Working

How many of you use your Surface Pro 4 with a MWDA? How is the performance? Since I got my MWDA it disconnects alot. It's really hard to tell if anything at all triggers it. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it disconnects. I have tried it on three different televisions.

Sadly, I do not have another MWDA or Surface Pro 4 Laying around. SP4 is as up to date as can be and so is the firmware on the MWDA. I have even seen it disconnect once and make the tv unresponsive. I was unable to turn the tv on or off with the remote. I had to disconnect the device it self.

Given that it took Microsoft 9+ months to fix Wi-Fi driver problems on Windows 8.1, I’m not very optimistic. If you are severely impacted by slow/bad connectivity, you can throw a small amount of money at the problem and buy an external USB Wi-Fi adapter that should improve performance on at least the 5GHz band. That accessory, non-creatively dubbed the Surface Wireless Display Adapter, is none other than an HDMI dongle Microsoft's crafted to enable wireless mirroring for those of you with Surface 2's,.

Try using just 2.4GHz (not 5GHz) switch on wireless setting. Perhaps switch channel on router to 1, 6 or 11. Also double check Windows Firewall and allow adapter through.

I know its Miracast but it still uses your wifi card Also try shortening the distance and resetting (button 10 seconds) or unplugging the dongle. Sounds to me its likely either to far away or interference.

Or just needs reset.Distance is not far. I've set the Adapter on 2.4ghz only. I've tried it connected and disconnected from the router. So I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. I have restarted the dongle as (button 10 seconds) Will double check Windows Firewall. I'm coming to the conclusion that the adapter it self is just faulty.

Try testing it or try the dongle on another monitor or computer. Also you should re-install the HD graphics driver. Also you should re-install the HD graphics driver. I've tried it on different televisions already.

After the update to Movies and TV yesterday or day before (can't remember) I used it last night and it did not disconnect. Don't know if it's just a coincidence or the updating of the app fixed something that was causing it to disconnect. Download fifa 16.

I will try it again later this evening and report back.
